Jennifer Aniston donates half a million dollars to Haiti relief

January 26 - After answering phones at the Hope for Haiti Now telethon on Friday night, Jennifer Aniston has reportedly donated $500,000 to charity for Haiti relief. Marc Malkin of E! reported yesterday that Aniston has donated half a million dollars in total to Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and AmeriCares for their Haiti relief efforts.

The Hope for Haiti Now telethon has so far raised over $60 million. In addition, iTunes and Amazon have released all the musical performances from the Hope for Haiti Now telethon for digital download with all proceeds going to the relief effort. Throughout the year, Jennifer Aniston also serves as a spokesperson for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Jennifer Aniston recently teamed up with her father, Days of Our Lives star, John Aniston, to narrate a children's book called Loukoumi’s Good Deeds, in which a portion of the proceeds from the book will go to St. Jude's.
