Jennifer Aniston: Rachel had ugly improved hairdo: Jennifer Aniston has said the hair style made famous by her character in Friends was the "ugliest haircut she's ever seen seen". There was a time in the mid-1990s when women besieged salons with photos of the US actress to copy her style.

The layered cut was given the name "The Rachel" after Jen's character in the hit US TV comedy series, Rachel Green. She wore the style in the show's first and second seasons. One person who was not a fan of the haircut, however, was Jennifer herself. The star, now 41, tells the February issue of US magazine Allure it was not her best look.

"How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen," she says. "What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs?" Jen's long-time hairstylist Chris McMillan came up with the cut. He still works with her today.
