Jennifer Aniston also reverts to her trusty little black dress for big events on the red carpet, she knows she looks good in them and feels comfortable wearing them too, we too have a love for our black outfits and it's the colour we're most likely to choose.
Despite brights and pastel colours filling the catwalks this season and style icons like Kate Middleton flying the flag for colour, research by Comfort Brights fabric conditioner reveals that black is still the colour women fall back on when trying to pick a successful outfit.
Black was rated the top colour for a romantic date, job interview and a night out with friends, with 41 per cent of women also saying it was the colour they felt most comfortable in, according to Comfort Brights.
Kate Nightingale comments: “With 41% of us still opting for black over any other colour, Brits need to have more confidence when it comes to brights – not only does it immediately make us look confident but it can also change the way people think about us. As soon as you meet someone new, whether it is on a date or in a job interview, you associate the colours they’re wearing with certain personality characteristics.“
